Veslic Rub Fastness Tester

This instrument carries out a rub fastness test on the surface of leather to determine the amount of marring of the leather surface or the finish and to assess the amount of colour transfer to the rubbing pad.

The test can be carried out under dry or wet conditions. Furthermore, the instrument can also be used to assess the abrasion resistance of insole boards as per VESLIC ad IUP standards. The instrument features a digital screen, automatic stop, pre-tensioning of the test sample, as well as test weights 500 g and 1000 g, so both leathers as well as suede can be tested.
We supply as well the 15 x 15 mm felt pads, in white or black, as well as the grey scales, for use with this instrument.
